Hungary, a member of EU has transformed itself to a market controlled economy from a centrally planned economy. The country is displaying a strong economic growth and its per capita income is nearly two-third that of EU countries average. The private sector accounts for 80% of the GDP. Foreign investments are widespread in the Hungarian firms and is evident from the fact that the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) amounts to $60 billion per year.
