Georgia is an agriculture based economy that mostly depends on agricultural products, metals, machinery, chemicals, mining of manganese and copper. The country has a sizeable but underdeveloped hydro-power which is not sufficient to meet the needs of the country. Georgia therefore imports the bulk of energy needs including gas and natural products.
